LANJARÓN BATTLE vs BOTTLE
Lanjarón, a Spanish mineral water brand, was set to become the first non-alcoholic beverage brand to have a bottle made from 100% recycled plastic.
In other words: their bottles would now be made 100% from other bottles, even those of its competitors.
We communicated this milestone by replacing competitors’ brand names in their own logos with our own name, and inviting them to bring forward their sustainability commitments by joining the #botellaxbotella movement so the entire sector could move toward being 100% recycled.
Far from feeling attacked, most brands joined the initiative, shortening their timelines to convert their bottles into recycled ones, and sparking a friendly B2B conversation on social media that was for once, open to the public.
